HUNDREDS of well wishers lined Berwick's Marygate at midday on Wednesday to welcome home troops from the 1st Battalion, Royal Scots Borderers, The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The troops, recently returned from a seven-month tour of duty in Afghanistan, were given a rousing reception from locals and visitors alike, with many from across the border coming to the town to see the parade.
