MEMBERS of Spittal Improvement Trust's committee were congratulated on their good housekeeping by treasurer Tommy Wilson at the annual meeting.
Presenting the financial report, he said it had been an achievement to turn last year's loss of £8900 into a profit of £3200. He urged them to keep up the good work this year when the third festival will be held in August.
Mr Wilson said the Spittal Gala had also been a great success with one of the best financial outcomes and the popular Christmas fair had done well.
The meeting also brought praise for the group who run the car boot sales which have started for 2010 and will run until the autumn.
