From The Berwick Advertiser: FNDING of £300,000 to carry out land slip repairs next to the Union Chain Bridge, near Horncliffe, has been agreed by the executive at Northumberland County Council. Work to stabilise the banking and restore the C2 road which carries traffic across the River Tweed between England and Scotland is expected to start in November and be completed by January.
