Got told this morning joes and semi Chem are closing

Semi chem still had a notice in their window last week saying " sale continues " or something like that !! I was in Superdrug the other day and its never very busy either !!

I know that Youngmans has been for sale for several years, they have certainly downsized over the past 20 years.
We were told last week that his brother was closing, which surprised us and thought could not be true - typical Berwick rumour machine.
On the plus side, i gather a local businessman is looking to re-open the Brown Bear. I am told that nobody turned up for the Open day at the Bear.
Against that, I hear The Pilot is on the market

Hope it goes ok for whoever takes on the Brown Bear--would be a shame if it never opened again . never knew there was gonna be an open day tho !!

Never heard about an open day either drove past the grove this morning and there's skips outside

Got told today that The Angels also up for sale !!

I looked and there is a banner up at the Bear for the Open Day - don't know how the chap got on with his meeting with the brewery or "PubCo".

I hear that KM HAS got The Grove, very surprised to see whose Skips they were, but I am told it is due to a fallout between KM and owner of the Black and Gold.

Is the Thatch open or closed? I am told that its' recent tenant has "retired to the country".

Tweed Televisions - going to "work from home", and Bijoux up for sale.

Forgot about tweed televisions makes sense to work from home
Drove up past the grove again and there was two skips full
Electric poles getting put in what an eyesore I have them outside here you would think in this day and age they would put the cables underground

Thatch was open on sat afternoon--at least the door was open and the lights was on -dont know how many customers was inside tho !!

ew tenant went into the Thatch couple of weeks ago asfor semi chem lease s up and they are not renewing it

Good to see that Drift has brought it back in to use.

Wonder if any one will take their shop in Castlegate?

A Cafe or Hairdressers would be good
