If there wasn't the "Readers Offers" section (chance to make more money from us, while running stories of local shops closing?), would have been a very thin paper. Also noticed hardly any houses for sale now, used to be loads of them.

it's because everbody looks on right move for houses, don't need to put it in the paper, housing market up here is slow to say the least I was reading in the tiser about them selling up from down south and moving up here, get much more for their money

Flat above us went up for sale a couple of weeks ago and has had about 5 views so far . one couple came back and asked Em what the area was likecos they were thinking of putting in an offer . they werent local.theres also been a lot of interest from a local businessman who is keen to get hold of the owners son to " do a deal " !! another similar flat almost directly opposite has been on the market for ages-asking £14,000 more !!!

was reading today a lot of pensioners who had bought annuities for their old age pension are buying up homes to let coz they're annuities aren't worth a light, best place to buy was Southampton, Northumberland wasn't in the top ten the average price for a house in Southampton was £138.000
