just read about a wheelchair bound woman who needs help twice a day to wash and dress . her help has been stopped because a carer got a bite which might have been from a flea ! the care provider has stopped her care until her house has been assessed as they have to consider the health and safety of their employees !! ::)Lets face it the carer could have been bitten anywhere and surely the old lady would have had bites herself if there were fleas around .And what about the rights and health and safety of the old lady .On top of that if the carer was aware that there were fleas present she should have reported it to her superiors -so surely she failed ih her duties !!Health and Safety is just going too far yet again !!!

yes................................................no, but its the sue anyone for anything culture that makes everyone cover their backs with radge health and safety rules, police are the worst, getting massive sums of money for slight injury's doing their jobs while our soldiers get next to nowt for getting blown up and shot.....seems like no one in charge has any common sense

Doormats have to go too !! this is all in a block of flats where there are no fire exits or extinguishers in the passages . CRAZY !! Sorry for making you scratch Tweedy !!

yes i was on a course a few years ago and we were it was inappropriate to comfort a client by putting an arm around .I suppose i can see where theyre coming from but sometimes thats all an old person wants to reassure them !!
