DM did own Foxtons building, but change of tenant unrelated.
When panelling removed in Kings Arms, split in wall found - "thicker than a mans arm", hence delay. New owner has a string of Care Homes, but no Hotels.
Rumoured that Milan is taking Ground Floor - unconnected to new Italian where Chickens was.

Just a wild idea - if the owner of the Kings Arms already run Care Homes, maybe if the Hotel does not work out, they may have another use for it? Just as well they got Planning Permission to put a Lift in.

wondered about that Tweed cos its usually the other way around -- the hotel owners usually turn to care when things are no too good !!! shame cos we would no longer have a posh hotel in berwick !!

Have seen the pet place - I don't know if they want locals in, or for you to buy online? Don't know if this is the same pet people who were interested in taking over the Lizzy, Pets At Home was mentioned.
Interested to see a planning application in for The Grove - somebody from Jesmond wants to turn it into a dentists.
