From the Berwick Advertiser: PLANS to repair and maintain some of Berwick's most historic buildings have received a £600,000 lottery boost. The money from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) will help restore a number of significant buildings on West Street, Bridge End and Eastern Lane. These include the former Wm Cowe & Sons shops which closed earlier this year and are thought to be of particular historic value.
