From The Berwick Advertiser: FRESH calls have been made for safety improvements at the junction leading to the Asda supermarket in Tweedmouth. Berwick Town Council has asked highways bosses at Northumberland County Council to reopen the issue. Coun Flora Simpson said: "The junction is much busier since Asda took over from the Co-op so I think it has to be looked at again. "If you want to turn left coming out of the junction you are often blocked off by cars waiting to turn right. "Sometimes the traffic backs up all the way back into the Asda car park which causes all sorts of problems." I dont think the Mayor drives. sorry but to me its quite simple, do what they did at Ashington when the new Asda was built put in traffic lights along with a pelican crossing, 2 problems solved in 1 go. The only thing I can see agaist this it means the Coucil has to spend money in Berwick and I think this is against their rules

i wrote to the tizer with an alias name, about how smooth it runs in ashington, about an amazing thing called traffic lights, dead simple, problem solved, no hassle whatsoever,, but obviously rocket science for this council/ and the mayor does drive, she used to run ma disabled x workpal about , all be it, it was his car
