NORTHUMBERLAND County Council officials have promised to clear the New Road in Berwick and support efforts to improve the riverside walk. Terry Garnick, the council's north area neighbourhood services manager, made the pledge at a public meeting in the Town Hall last Thursday, which was attended by a number of people with a keen interest in improving the path. www.berwick-advertiser.co.uk/news/Improvements-promised-for-Lovers39-Walk.6494167.jp
