they charge enough in fees and old folk won't eat that much  a friend of mines father was in the tweedmouth care home and they ended up paying £91.000 over the time he was in, better to spend your money while you can if you've got any rather than hand it over to care homes coz if you've got nowt you pay nowt |

its true Grumps -you sell a house for 100 grand and live in a care home for 4 yrs or more and your cash is nearly all away !! whether you pay for your care or your care is paid for you everyone gets the same , same rooms ,food ,services etc !

I have just read this thread, and the most frightening thing is that in 20 years time, I will be over 65!
Hopefully by the the seventies will be the new teens!

you have to do it within 7 years of your death but heard the government are looking into it and i'm sure if they can stop it they will, they need every penny they can screw out of folk one way or another, somebody has to pay for abu qutada and the like  |
