From The Berwick Advertiser:

TOURISTS have highlighted Berwick's traffic problems, parking issues and its poor quality shops as its major drawbacks in a new study.

Despite the fact the town is packed with holidaymakers at the moment, the visitor survey - commissioned by Northumberland Tourism and development trusts - reveals some worrying statistics.

Berwick trails in a range of visitor satisfaction ratings relative to other market towns including Alnwick , Amble , Morpeth, Hexham, Haltwhistle, Wooler and Seahouses.

think the "tizer" got it right . very little here for holidaymakers, and very expensive to spend all day in the holiday camp if thats where they're staying !!

yep but what happened to all this regeneration lot they took on when pringles closed with big salaries to regenerate the town, seems like they just regenerated their own fat wallets
