FAMOUS north east actor Robson Green has attempted to swim from the mainland to Holy Island as part of a two-part ITV documentary.

The programme, the first of which is going out on ITV on Tuesday, December 8 at 9pm, explains that the recent loss of his father inspired Robson to attempt the Holy Island swim.
