i dont know if it will or not i was aproached by a few members of the berwick site asking me if i could start a site up, so here it is, if it doesn,t work then nowt lost, i will still sleep sound

yes we have ways but it will be done by a meeting of the staff/ which will always be an odd number/ if we cant agree then it will be put to a members vote

my question is.. u as administrator/moderator can u nosey into any pm,s i send another member? and if u can is it possibe for u to tamper/delete anything i have sent by pm? when i get the answer to this it will explain a lot of things to me. many thanks ;D

I pretty much know my way around Proboards software and it DOES NOT enable the Admin or Moderators to read private personal messages or alter them. If someone used some software from outside of Proboards to hack into such messages it is regarded as a SERIOUS matter by Proboards and a complaint, if proven, would probably result in the Forum in question being closed down. What Proboards DOES allow is the admin/moderators to exclude certain words - this is so people can't use offensive language etc The word is either automatically blanked out or they can automatically substitute another word. Whilst this is intended for use with "naughty words", they can of course use it for ANY words - so for example if someone typed "Tweed Talk" it would show up as "***** ****" If the admin/moderator had ecluded those words. Can't imagine why any Moderator in their right mind would want to do that, of course.........  |
