Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has invested £2million to help cut waiting times for patients. The new funding means that waiting times will be greatly reduced for patients waiting for investigative procedures in the endoscopy department. Alan Campbell MP opened the new endoscopy unit at North Tyneside General Hospital on Tuesday 14 February where £1million has been spent on state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
